A Little Inspiration to End Your Week :)
Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye!
Helen Keller
In my high school marching band, we had something we called It. It wasn’t something you could measure or define—it wasn’t a formula or a number. But you knew when you felt It. It was that overwhelming emotional rush when the music, the drill, and the energy all came together in a breathtaking, near-flawless performance. When the piece and/or drill clicked perfectly into place, It was magical!
And that’s exactly what I want for you. Wherever you are in life, I want you to find your It—that indescribable feeling that comes when you’re living fully, striving boldly, and exceeding every limitation you thought you had. I want you to go out there and kick ass. Not just for yourself, but to lead a life that lifts others up and breaks through barriers. Rise above the doubts, the fears, and the setbacks. Reach for the stars—and then go beyond.
Yes, there will be struggles. Yes, setbacks will come when you least expect them. That’s life. But with perseverance and an indomitable spirit, you can overcome anything. You can turn obstacles into stepping stones and transform challenges into victories.
In marching band, It usually showed up in that last performance—the culmination of months of effort, grit, and teamwork. Getting there wasn’t easy. It took a team of dedicated individuals, from musicians to coaches to directors, working tirelessly toward a common goal. And the same is true in life.
Success is rarely a solo act. That’s why I encourage you to find a mentor, a coach, or a consultant in your field. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and will push you to be your best. We are out there and rooting for you!
You are worth it. You deserve to live a life of passion, purpose, and greatness. So don’t settle for mediocrity. Give yourself permission to demand more—more effort, more growth, more joy—every single day. It is waiting for you, and I promise you: when you find it, it’s worth everything.
I wish each and every one of you the very best. Now go out there and chase your It! The world is waiting for you!
