Why invest in therapy/counseling?

Mental health counseling is a process by which you and I can work together on a number of life issues and scenarios that are impacting your life. Having said that, it is important to note that by undertaking counseling, there are investments of both time and money that come with therapy. Together we can help you Rise Above difficult situations and times in your life.

Investment of Finances

I currently do not take insurances so that I may focus on healing you without demands from insurance companies to label you or fit you into a box of diagnostic criteria. I can also offer a more personalized approach that allows me to focus on what matters most to you, seeing you as a total person and getting you back to living life to the fullest. My normal rate for a 50+ minute session is $150.00; however, I hold a few slots available for those who require exceptions due to financial hardship.

Investment of Time

Most people meet with me weekly to biweekly for at least 3-5 sessions as their needs require and time allows. Depending on the nature of what you are trying to cope with, you may wish to meet with me longer to tackle tougher life issues. For some, therapy is an ongoing process but only you as the expert in yourself know what makes sense in your individual circumstances. My job as a therapist is to help you intuitively listen to your body and mind to make that determination for yourself.
